Cats & Kittens Looking For Homes (December 2014)

Please note that all adoptions are subject to a home check and an adoption fee

Kittens cannot be homed singularly unless in a home where a youngish cat already lives. We cannot home kittens with very young children, preferably not under 4 years old. Adopters must also agree to neuter at 5 months old which has to be confirmed by a vet.
All cats or kittens cannot be adopted in a home on/near a busy road.

Sammy

Sammy is a very handsome 6 year old black and white male.  He urgently needs a home as due to serious illness his owners have had to move into a new home where it would be dangerous for Sammy to go outside, so with a heavy heart they have decided he needs to be re homed as he is used to going outside and is very unhappy as a house cat. He is healthy and very sociable but has not lived with dogs or children. He is also neutered and micro chipped. Tango

Tango is a handsome 3 year old large male grey tabby.  He was handed over to the Trust as a stray and we have been able to find his story from his chip details. He has sadly been roaming for quite some time. He is very friendly and has been fine with children from the age of 4 years, but is unknown with dogs. Tango is currently staying at the sanctuary and is showing signs of a slight flea allergy. Adoption subject to home check and adoption fee. 

Polly

Polly has come into our care with Ziggy, due to allergies in the family. She is a black female born in September 2009. Her previous owner told us that she is very affectionate and does like to hunt, and can also be very vocal with her greetings! She is currently staying at the Sanctuary but she is not coping with life there very well and spends all her time hiding but is very friendly when you can entice her out into the open.  She is neutered, chipped and vaccinated. Adoption subject to home check and adoption fee.

Ziggy

Ziggy has come into our care with Polly due to allergies in the family. She is a tortie and white female born in April 2006, she is very friendly and affectionate and loves
to sit on your lap. She is neutered, chipped and vaccinated and currently staying at the Sanctuary. Adoption subject to home check and adoption fee.

Polly & Ziggy can be adopted together or separately. 

Skittles

Three litters of kittens found abandoned in a house in Northampton have come into our care along with mum Skittles, who is around 3-4 years old. She is a very sweet cat and has one blue eye and one brown eye, sadly we have discovered that she is blind in the blue eye, but this does not bother her. There were seven kittens in total from three litters, all of whom have been rehomed. Skittles is currently being fostered in Banbury. Adoption subject to home check & adoption fee.

Indy is a Silver Bengal, born in 2009. He has had two homes in his short life, the first with a family of five children where he was very stressed, and the last eight months with another family. However he is still showing signs of stress and needs a very understanding quiet home, without children, where he can settle down to an easy life in his own time. It is hard to get to know his true character until he is in an environment where he can feel settled and relaxed, but he is showing signs of being very friendly and very talkative! He is currently staying at the Sanctuary but is a bit worried being with the other cats there. He is a very beautiful stunning cat. Adoption subject to home check & adoption fee.

Gizzy

Gizzy is a lovely male tabby born in 2007. He urgently needs to find a new home as his owners newlandlord will not allow pets. Gizzy is a handsome boy, very affectionate and loves to lay on your lap. He is neutered and will also be micro chipped. Adoption subject to home check and adoption fee. Please contact Sarah on 07811 636385.

 

Smudge (Girl)

Smudge is a long haired black and white neutered female. She was born in 2005. She is a very friendly little cat! She would make a lovely companion. Smudge is currently staying at the Sanctuary.  Adoption subject to home visit and adoption fee.

Poppy

Poppy was born in 2010. She has had a very unsettled life and been bullied by other cats so is nowaggressive towards them, so she needs a home on her own and without very young children. She likes to come and go but does not like being shut in or out so her new home must have a cat flap. She is a lovely girl and has a very healthy appetite! Poppy is chipped and neutered and currently staying in Bampton in Oxfordshire. Adoption subject to home check and adoption fee. Please contact Sarah on 07811 636385.

 

Pushkin ****PUSHKIN IS RESERVED*******

Pushkin is a huge 9 year old neutered male. He was brought over from Poland in March 2013 by the sons of his owner who had died, to start a new life with them in the UK. Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances they have had to return to Poland and are unable to take him with them. He cannot stay with their sister in the UK as he and her collie do not get along at all!  Pushkin is currently being fostered near Daventry. Adoption subject to a home check and adoption fee.

Bess & Treacle (Bess has been adopted)

Bess is a very sweet black and white female born in 2010 and Treacle is a very handsome ginger and white male born in 2009. Both cats are currently settling in to their new surroundings in Byfield. They are still a bit nervous and unsure of what has happened but they are very friendly and enjoy being fussed. We have recently found out that Bess and Treacle were not kept in as house cats as previously stated, so are used to having access to the outdoors! They are both neutered and will be micro chipped. Adoption subject to home check, and adoption fee.

Bella

Bella, born at the end of 2013, came into our care as a stray. She is very loving but can be a bit rough when she plays, so she cannot be homed with children. Bella is currently being fostered near Daventry in a multi pet household and is fine with other cats and dogs. She has been neutered, chipped and vaccinated. Billy

Billy is thought to have been born in around 2011 or 2012, he has come into our care after his family moved & were unable to take him with them. His family took him in around 8 months ago as a stray. He has suffered some trauma (damage to his windpipe etc) to his neck which is now scared and hairless in places and means he now wheezes when he breathes. He is having an X ray this week to confirm this. He is very friendly - he does not seem worried by the other cats but is unsettled & not happy at the moment. Wispa (REHOMED)

Wispa came into our care with her mum Biscuit, her sister Minnie and her brother Pebble who have all been adopted. She was born on 13th April 2014 and is a very sweet and friendly little girl. She is available for adoption with Roly or Tippy or needs to be homed where there are no other cats. She is chipped, vaccinated and neutered. Wispa is currently being fostered near Daventry. Cosmic

Fidget and Cosmic came into our care after their owner very suddenly passed away. Fidget lost his battle with kidney and thyroid disease in November & Cosmic is looking for a new home, he is all black, born in spring 1997. He is currently being fostered near Daventry. Adoption subject to home check and adoption fee.

Mowser

Mowser is a very sweet black short haired female, born in 2005, who came into our care as a stray. She is currently staying at the Trust and would love a new home. A home without young children would be preferred. Adoption subject to home check and adoption fee.

Tess

Tess is a very pretty short haired all black girl, born in 2006. Her owner has moved abroad
and the person who'd offered to have Tess let them down so she is currently staying at the Trust. She is lovely and very friendly but does not like children, so a nice quiet home with no visiting kids would suit her best. Tess is neutered and micro-chipped. Adoption subject to home check and adoption fee.

Duffy & Kittens

Duffy and her kittens came into our care from being found as strays in Towcester. Duffy who was born in 2012 is a beautiful grey and white girl who is very friendly. The Kittens were born in April 2014, Tippy is a black and white male with a white tip to his tail, Tula is  a tabby and white female, and Tiza a black and white female. Tula and Tiza are very timid and wary of humans so would probably suit an outdoor life rather than a home indoors. They are all presently being fostered near Daventry. All need to be adopted into homes with no other cats. Tippy is also available for adoption with Roly or Wispa. The kittens are all now chipped, neutered and vaccinated. Adoption subject to home check and adoption fee. Please contact Penny on 01327 310945.

Snowball

Snowball was born in July 2013, he is a pure white neutered male. Very timid and will need time to adjust to a new home.  When he is feeling secure (generally in the evening) he is very friendly and has a loud purr. He is chipped and neutered and needs a quiet home without children. Snowball is currently being fostered near Daventry. Adoption subject to home check and adoption fee.

Roly (REHOMED)

Roly is a very sweet black male born in May 2014. He is a lovely friendly little boy and was thankfully saved by one of our volunteers after his sibling was killed by a dog. He is available for adoption with Wispa or Tippy or needs to be homed where there are no other cats. He is chipped, vaccinated and neutered. Ace

Ace, born in 2006, is a very petite black female with a fleck of white on her chest.  

She is fairly nervous and easily scared, and doesn't like loud noises especially the hoover. Occasionally she enjoys a cuddle on your lap whilst purring and likes to be stroked when she can see your hands. She loves dry food and some jelly food especially chicken flavour, and she loves stick treats! Ace also loves cat nip as it makes her go funny and she likes to play with her toys a lot when they have cat nip in them! She is currently staying at the Trust and although she has lived with other cats, she is very scared of the ones at the sanctuary so urgently needs to find a quiet home with no other pets or children. Willow

Willow is a pretty little black female and has come into our care having been found as a stray in Milton Keynes. She is a bit nervous at the moment as she is still settling in at the sanctuary. We do not have any information about her age etc but we will add more details as soon as we have them.  Adoption subject to home check and adoption fee.

 

Diva

Diva is a lovely black and white female born around June 2013. She is quite nervous and very timid so she needs a nice quiet home without children. She is neutered and chipped. Diva is currently staying in a foster home near Daventry and likes the fosterer's dogs and is fine with non aggressive cats. Adoption subject to home check and adoption fee. Please contact Penny on 01327 310945.

Annie

Annie was born around the end of 2012 and has come into our care after being found as a stray near Silverstone in very poor condition suffering from a flea allergy. It was so bad she has patches of no fur and lots of bumps from scratching and biting herself. She is being  treated for this and is extremely friendly with a  very loud purr! She has also been spayed and micro-chipped and will be vaccinated. Maui, Fuzz & Smudge

Maui is a lovely female tabby born in 2010/11 and Fuzz is her daughter, she is a very pretty tabby and white born in 20012. Smudge is a large black and white male born in 2011. They are all very friendly, affectionate cats who have previously lived with children. Maui and Fuzz need to be re homed together but Smudge could be homed on his own. They are currently staying at the sanctuary. They are all neutered and micro chipped. Adoption subject to home check and adoption fee.

Miles & Chocolate

Miles and Chocolate were born in 2001, sadly their owner has died. Chocolate is a very friendly black female and Miles is a very lazy black and white male!  Both are chipped and neutered. They are lovely cats and urgently need a home together. They are  currently being fostered in Buckingham. Adoption subject to home check and adoption fee.

Lester & Lainie

Lester and Lainie were tragically found dumped in a cardboard box in Daventry. Lester is a white male who came in very thin but he is slowly putting on weight. Lainie is a white female with one gold eye and one blue eye. Both are lovely cats and need to be homed together. We think they are approximately 8 years old and most likely brother and sister. They are neutered and chipped and currently being fostered in Potterspury. Adoption subject to home check and adoption fee.

We are URGENTLY trying to find new homes for the above 11 cats as very sadly the Housing Association have told their owners that they cannot keep them. They are currently living together in Daventry and we have no space for them at the Sanctuary so urgently need to find lovely new homes for them. Some are related so we would prefer them to be adopted together. All of the cats are very affectionate and of course used to living with other cats! All of the cats have been kept as house cats for most of the time so could be re homed as indoor cats or introduced carefully to the outdoors. None of them are used to children so a home without very young children would be preferred. Jasper is the most timid of all of the cats so he would need a nice quiet home with his brother Oscar. Henry is adorable but has a urinary tract problem but please don't let this put you off him as he just needs to be kept on his special diet. Adoption subject to home check and adoption fee.
