Cats & Kittens Looking For Homes (February 2015)

For further information about adopting or fostering any of these cats / kittens,
please contact Sarah on 07811 636385 (please text first if possible) or Penny on 01327 310945 (please leave a message if not available).

Please note that all adoptions are subject to a home check and an adoption fee

Kittens cannot be homed singularly unless in a home where a youngish cat already lives. We cannot home kittens with very young children, preferably not under 4 years old. Adopters must also agree to neuter kittens at 5 months old which has to be confirmed by a vet.
All cats or kittens cannot be adopted in a home on/near a busy road.

Millie & Knuckles

Millie is a very sweet tabby and white neutered female born in 2010, she is still a little nervous and unsure but she is very friendly once she gets to know you. Knuckles is an adorable ginger and white neutered male born in 2011, with a very fussy and friendly nature. They have both come into our care together and we would prefer them to be re homed together but we would consider homing them separately. They have previously lived in a flat as house cats so they would need to be carefully introduced to the outdoors. They are currently staying near Weston Favell.  Adoption subject to home check and adoption fee.

Sammy

Sammy is a very handsome 6 year old black and white male.  He urgently needs a home as due to serious illness his owners have had to move into a new home where it would be dangerous for Sammy to go outside, so with a heavy heart they have decided he needs to be re homed as he is used to going outside and is very unhappy as a house cat. He is healthy and very sociable but has not lived with dogs or children. He is also neutered and micro chipped. Sammy is currently staying in Wellingborough. Adoption subject to home check and adoption fee. Please contact Sarah on 07811 636385.

Timothy

Timothy is a large tabby/white boy born approx 2010. He came in as a stray from Boughton. He used to follow the couple to the pub and wait for them to come out and follow them back home! They could not keep him as their resident cat did not get on with him. He wants to be friendly but has been known to try and bite your hand and have the odd swipe at times, so for that reason a home without young children is needed. He was neutered last year hence his large ‘tom cat’ face! He is currently staying at the sanctuary. Adoption subject to home check and adoption fee.

Benny

Benny is a handsome black and white male, born in 2005, with unusual markings to his face. He needs a new home due to a relationship breakup and move to rented accommodation which does not allow pets. He has lived with children and other cats and is a very friendly happy cat. He is neutered, vaccinated and will be chipped. Benny takes tablets twice a day for hyperthyroidism. He is currently staying in Weston Favell. Adoption subject to home check and adoption fee.

Sushi
(is no longer looking for a home, as her problems have resolved
and she is staying with her owners)

Sushi is a pretty ginger and white female, born in 2010. She loves cuddles but can be a bit scratchy and unpredictable, it is possible she has been ill treated in the past, so she is looking for a quiet home without small children. A rural situation would be ideal for her in a home without any other cats. She is neutered and currently staying in Daventry. Adoption subject to home check and adoption fee.  Please contact Sarah on 07811 636385.

Tango

Tango is a handsome large male grey tabby, born in 2011. He was handed over to the Trust as a stray and although he was chipped his owners sadly didn't want him back and he had been roaming for quite some time. He is a very friendly fussy boy and has been fine with children from the age of 4 years and dogs. Tango is currently staying at the sanctuary.
Adoption subject to home check and adoption fee.

Polly
Polly has come into our care with Ziggy, due to allergies in the family. She is a black female born in September 2009. Her previous owner told us that she is very affectionate and does like to hunt, and can also be very vocal with her greetings! She is currently staying at the Sanctuary but she is not coping with life there very well and spends all her time hiding but is very friendly when you can entice her out into the open.  She is neutered, chipped and vaccinated. Adoption subject to home check and adoption fee.

Ziggy

Ziggy has come into our care with Polly due to allergies in the family. She is a tortie and white female born in April 2006, she is very friendly and affectionate and loves to sit on your lap. She is neutered, chipped and vaccinated and currently staying at the Sanctuary. Adoption subject to home check and adoption fee.

Polly & Ziggy can be adopted together or separately.

Tammy (has been adopted)

Tammy is a beautiful extremely fussy and friendly tabby and white female born in 2009. She needs to find a home preferably with no other pets or very young children as she has come from a multi pet household where she was very stressed. She is chipped, neutered and will be fully vaccinated. She is in very good health apart from a heart murmur. Tammy is currently being fostered near Daventry. Adoption subject to home check and adoption fee.
Please contact Penny on 01327 310945.

Smudge (female)

Smudge is a very pretty long haired black and white female, born in 2005. She is a very friendly and affectionate little cat who would make a lovely companion. Smudge is neutered and chipped, and currently staying at the Sanctuary. Adoption subject to home check and adoption fee.

Smudge has just had extensive dental work so is not yet ready for her new home but she can be reserved.

Poppy

Poppy was born in 2010. She has had a very unsettled life and been bullied by other cats so is nowaggressive towards them, so she needs a home on her own and without very young children. She likes to come and go but does not like being shut in or out so her new home must have a cat flap. She is a lovely girl and has a very healthy appetite! Poppy is chipped and neutered and currently staying in Bampton in Oxfordshire. Adoption subject to home check and adoption fee. Please contact Sarah on 07811 636385.

Treacle & Skippy

Treacle and Skippy didn't come into our care together but they have become good friends and seem to boost each others confidence, so ideally we would love them to be homed together. A quiet home with a very cat orientated lady where they will be allowed to settle in their own time would be ideal. Treacle is a very handsome ginger and white male born in 2009. He is very friendly and enjoys being fussed. Skippy is a beautifully marked tabby and white male born mid July 2014, he is a bit small for his age. He was very sadly found thrown in a skip soaking wet and shivering. Needless to say he is very timid but is a friendly boy with his fosterer and enjoys being stroked. Treacle and Skippy are neutered, chipped and vaccinated, and currently being fostered in Daventry. Adoption subject to home check, and adoption fee. Please contact Penny on 01327 310945.

Mowser

Mowser is a very sweet black short haired female, born in 2005, who came into our care as a stray. She is currently staying at the Trust and would love a new home. A home without young children would be preferred. Adoption subject to home check and adoption fee.

Tess

Tess is a very pretty short haired all black girl, born in 2006. Her owner has moved abroad and the person who'd offered to have Tess let them down so she is currently staying at the Trust. She is lovely and very friendly but does not like children, so a nice quiet home with no visiting kids would suit her best. Tess is neutered and micro-chipped. Adoption subject to home check and adoption fee.

Tippy

Tippy came in to our care with his mum Duffy and his brother and sisters after being found as strays in Towcester. The Kittens were born in April 2014 and Tippy who is a black and white male with a white tip to his tail (hence his name!) is the only one who has not yet been adopted. He needs a home with no other cats, and as he is quite timid, no young children. He is chipped, neutered and vaccinated. Tippy is presently being fostered near Daventry. Adoption subject to home check and adoption fee. Please contact Penny on 01327 310945.

Chico

Chico has recently come into our care due to a marriage breakdown. He was born at the end of June 2014 and is such a super friendly affectionate boy with the most wonderful eyes. He has just had his first vaccination, has been micro-chipped and is being neutered at the end of February. He has previously lived with 4 year and 7 year old children. Chico is currently being fostered near Daventry. Adoption subject to home check and adoption fee. Please contact Penny on 01327 310945.

George

George was born in August 2014 and has come into our care after his family moved and could not take him with them. He is a big boy for his age and is very playful, so a home with older children would be preferred. He is being fostered near Daventry with Treacle and Skippy and they all seem to get along. He will be micro chipped, vaccinated and neutered before adoption. Adoption subject to home check and adoption fee. Please contact Penny on 01327 310945.

Snowball

Snowball was born in July 2013, he is a pure white neutered male. Very timid and will need time to adjust to a new home. When he is feeling secure (generally in the evening) he is very friendly and has a loud purr. He is chipped and neutered and needs a quiet home without children. Snowball is currently being fostered near Daventry. Adoption subject to home check and adoption fee. Please contact Penny on 01327 310945.

Ace

Ace, born in 2006, is a very petite black female with a fleck of white on her chest.  She is fairly nervous and easily scared, and doesn't like loud noises especially the hoover. Occasionally she enjoys a cuddle on your lap whilst purring and likes to be stroked when she can see your hands. She loves dry food and some jelly food especially chicken flavour, and she loves stick treats! Ace also loves cat nip as it makes her go funny and she likes to play with her toys a lot when they have cat nip in them! She is currently staying at the Trust and although she has lived with other cats, she is very scared of the ones at the sanctuary so urgently needs to find a quiet home with no other pets or children. Adoption subject to home check and adoption fee.

Willow

Willow is a pretty little black female who has come into our care having been found as a stray in Milton Keynes. She is neutered and chipped and approximately 4 years old. She is not keen on other cats, but she is a friendly, though slightly timid, little girl. Willow is currently staying at the Trust.  Adoption subject to home check and adoption fee.

Diva

Diva is a lovely black and white female born around June 2013. She is quite nervous and very timid so she needs a nice quiet home without children. She is neutered and chipped. Diva is currently staying in a foster home near Daventry and likes the fosterer's dogs and is fine with non aggressive cats. Adoption subject to home check and adoption fee. Please contact Penny on 01327 310945.

 Maui, Fuzz & Smudge

Maui is a lovely female tabby born in 2010/11 and Fuzz is her daughter, she is a very pretty tabby and white born in 20012. Smudge is a large black and white male born in 2011. They are all very friendly, affectionate cats who have previously lived with children. Maui and Fuzz need to be re homed together but Smudge could be homed on his own. They are currently staying at the sanctuary. They are all neutered and micro chipped. Adoption subject to home check and adoption fee.

Miles & Chocolate (are no longer looking for a home as they are staying with their foster family)

Miles and Chocolate were born in 2001, sadly their owner has died. Chocolate is a very friendly black female and Miles is a very lazy black and white male!  Both are chipped and neutered. They are lovely cats and urgently need a home together. They are  currently being fostered in Buckingham. Adoption subject to home check and adoption fee.

Lester

Lester came into our care with Lainie after being tragically found dumped in a cardboard box in Daventry. Lainie sadly passed away after a short illness. Lester is a white male who came in very thin but he is slowly putting on weight. He is a lovely cat, we think he is approximately 8 years old and most likely Lainie was his sister. He is neutered and chipped and currently being fostered in Potterspury. Adoption subject to home check and adoption fee. Please contact Sarah on 07811 636385.

Almo

Almo is an adorable Peterbald cross born in 2012. He is very affectionate, loves to be cuddled and sit on your lap. He isn’t too keen on being picked up, but never scratches or bites. He needs a fosterer or new home with no other pets or young children as he has lived in two previous very busy households and has issues with inappropriate messing, advised by the vets to be due to stress. He will therefore need patience and understanding. Almo is neutered and chipped and currently staying near Bicester. Adoption subject to home check and adoption fee. Please contact Sarah on 07811 636385.

Socks (is reserved)

Socks is a beautiful tortoiseshell and white female born in 2009. She has come into our care as her owner has sadly passed away. She needs to find a nice quiet home as she has not been used to other animals or children, though older children may be alright as she is a very fussy, friendly little girl. Socks is chipped, neutered and will be vaccinated, and is currently being fostered near Daventry.  At the moment she needs to put some weight on and is being treated for a flea allergy so she is not quite ready for her new home, which we expect to be early March, but she can be reserved. Adoption subject to home check and adoption fee. Please contact Penny on 01327 310945.

Jet

Jet is a lovely black neutered male born around 2011. He has come into our care as very sadly he was about to be put to sleep. He is a friendly boy that has FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) which is contracted through saliva into the blood stream so it is likely he was bitten by an infected cat. He needs to be homed as an indoor cat or where he cannot escape from the garden (ie completely enclosed), though experts have advised that FIV cats can be homed with other cats as long as none are fighters. He is currently staying at the sanctuary separated from the other cats. Adoption subject to home check and adoption fee.

TOM & TOBY ARE RESERVED TOGETHER

We are URGENTLY trying to find new homes for the above 10 cats as very sadly the Housing Association have told their owners that they cannot keep them. They are currently living together in Daventry and we have no space for them at the Sanctuary so urgently need to find lovely new homes for them. Some are related so we would prefer them to be adopted together. All of the cats are very affectionate and of course used to living with other cats! All of the cats have been kept as house cats for most of the time so could be re homed as indoor cats or introduced carefully to the outdoors. None of them are used to children so a home without very young children would be preferred. Jasper is the most timid of all of the cats so he would need a nice quiet home with his brother Oscar. Adoption subject to home check and adoption fee. If you are able to help, please contact Sarah on 07811 636385.

Henry has gone to his lovely new home.
Duke, Tom and Toby are now all neutered. All of the cats will also be chipped and flea/worm treated before adoption.
