Izzy

Phoebe
3 Year Old Phoebe is thought to be a German Shepherd cross Collie. She is very friendly and good with other dogs and cats. She would like to live in a calm environment. Kimi

Kimi has come into the trust because of a relationship break up. Kimi is a 4-5 years old Lakeland Terrier Cross, she is reasonably obedient and very affectionate, she is walked on a harness as she likes to hunt. She hasn’t lived with children and is a little nervous of children that she meets in the street if they are loud or running around. Having said that she can be quite playful so could live with older children that are sensible. Kimi hasn’t lived with cats. She is okay with some other dogs not all, will sometimes bark and was attacked by a dog in the past, although she would benefit from living with another dog if it was calm. Kimi is lucky enough to be staying in a foster home in Northamptonshire. Adoption subject to homecheck and adoption fee.

Buster
3 year old Buster is a very loving and content dog with great enthusiasm for walks and playing outside but settles quickly and will lay quietly around the house, quite content with his own company.Buster loves EVERYONE. His tendency to play does get the better of him so would needs to be homed either alone or with a dog who already has good training and boundaries. Buster although a joy, rarely follows basic commands and pulls on the lead but has already made an improvement and would learn quickly with someone consistent and firm with the rules. Recall will need some work. Overall Buster is a beautiful dog who would fit into a family and be a perfect pet just the way he is but has the potential to be outstanding with a little training. Fully house trained. Sleeps in a crate overnight. Does not chew or dig! Plays ball and eats well.  Buster is good with children but doesn’t like cats.  He is lucky enough to be staying in a foster home in Bicester.  Adoption subject to homecheck and adoption fee.

Get A Chip Like Pip

A local Animal Sanctuary, Re-Homing Centre & Wildlife Rescue, the Algernon Trust in Whittlebury near Towcester, is urging pet owners to ensure their pets are microchipped!

GET A CHIP LIKE PIP!

Pip Enjoying Family Life

Pip is a female Jack Russell Terrier cross, she lives a happy life in a village near Banbury and she adores her human who she follows everywhere.  One Monday morning a man in a white van stole Pip from her home on the farm and quickly her family spread the word, using social media to let everyone know that Pip was stolen.  By nightfall on Monday, everyone was worried how scared Pip would be with the thieves and how much she would be missing her own human and wondering why she wasn't at home.  Tuesday came and went and the family continued to do all they could to spread the word and make sure that if Pip was seen she would be recognised, they drove to anywhere they could think to look for her.  Wednesday looked set for the same activities when a vet almost 20 miles from Pip's home called to say that she had been found!  She was wandering around, dirty and tired and wearing a different collar and a kind person had taken her to the vet to keep her safe.  As Pip's human had her microchipped the vets were able to phone home immediately and her ordeal was brought to an end.

What is microchipping?

Microchipping is a simple safe and quick procedure. It can make all the difference in being reunited with your pet should they stray or go missing.
The microchip is the size of a grain of rice and the procedure, which is carried out by a vet or trained microchip implanter, takes only a few minutes and lasts a lifetime.

How does a microchip help to reunite a lost pet with their owner?

Once your pet is microchipped, you and your pet's details are stored in a microchip database along with the microchip's unique 15 digit code.
When a missing pet is found, an animal professional (for example a vet or dog warden) will scan the pet revealing the microchip's unique 15 digit code, and contact the microchip database your pet is registered with. The customer care staff will perform some security checks before releasing your contact details to the animal professional - so that your pet can be reunited with you.
